I keep wanting to write something about 2000 trees, but I just don’t know where to start. Basically it was pretty darn incredible! It was my first ever festival and it’s gunna be hard to beat, it made me not really want to go to any bigger festivals, the atmosphere was so perfect and everyone was so friendly, I just want to live at 2000 trees!
I went to the festival alone, as part of Camp Turner, so had spoken to people online but had never met any of them, which seemed kinda scary at first, but it was best thing! Everyone was so friendly and nice, we had such a great time! They’re a talented bunch and we had sing alongs a lot, Kyle from the Retrospective Soundtrack Players and Ben Marwood both made an appearance and sang a few songs which was so nice of them. Also Barry (Oxygen Thief) came along and took us all down to a busking stage (cos we’d broken pretty much every guitar string we had around camp and he didn’t have his guitar) so that he could play a few songs and we could watch some other people!
Music wise, the line up was incredible, I saw frank play 3 times which was of course, great. Jim Lockey, Emily Barker, Oxygen Thief, Retrospective were all fantastic, to name a few. But my highlight has to be Mr Ben Marwood, I was front centre, could literally have licked him if I’d wanted to (I managed to control myself though!), of a packed tent. Every single person knew every single word, Ben was just so blown away, amazed and grateful about the reaction to him and his music. The atmosphere in there was amazing and it’s a performance I’ll never forget!
This was long, to sum up: top festival, top music, top people, A+ would 100% recommend!
